B is correct.

By default, the switch is operating in local mode; however, the switch auto-network configuration option is set to enable. The switch is therefore operating in standalone mode and will attempt to discover a FortiLink interface on FortiGate. You can alter the FortiSwitch automatic discovery behavior by setting the switch auto-network setting to disable the on the CLI.
