In the example shown on this slide, the first route in the table, which is a static default route with a distance of 220, is not installed in the FIB because FortiSwitch preferred the default route learned through OSPF, which has a lower distance (110). The static route, however, remains on standby and is installed in the FIB if the OSPF route is removed.
